Services
Walks & Pop-Ins
I provide a range of personalised services designed to meet your dog’s unique needs from group walks, to solo walks or pop-in visits to short dog-sitting sessions, or tailored services like wedding chaperoning.
I know firsthand how it feels to entrust your dog to someone else. That’s why I’ll treat your dog as my own, providing regular updates and pictures to give you peace of mind.
Step 1. Meet & Greet
Every service begins with a free, no-obligation Meet & Greet. This can take place at your home and/or during a walk, depending on your specific needs and the service requested. During this time, we’ll discuss your requirements, and you’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. I’ll also take the time to assess your dog’s temperament and behaviour. This step ensures I can provide the best possible care for your furry friend, prioritise safety, and create a positive experience tailored to their needs. For group walks, this assessment helps ensure that all dogs in the group are compatible and can enjoy their time together.
Step 2. Trials
After the Meet & Greet, I will arrange a trial walk or visit to ensure your dog feels comfortable and happy in my care. This trial helps me better understand their unique needs and assess how they respond to the service. For group walks, this will involve a trial period to confirm that your dog is a good fit with the group, ensuring they enjoy their time and get along well with the other dogs. This step is key to guaranteeing a positive, safe, and stress-free experience for your furry friend.
Group walks
Your dog will be safely picked up from home and transported in their own space, ensuring comfort throughout the journey. We head to local parks and woods, including Roundhay Park, Golden Acre, Adel Woods, Meanwood, The Hollies, and Hetchell Woods. Each walk is tailored with enrichment activities that let dogs express their natural behaviours, promoting happiness, health, and confidence. I customise each session based on your dog’s energy, temperament, and needs to provide the right balance of exercise and mental stimulation. Afterward, each dog is cleaned and returned home. The group size is limited to 6 dogs (as per council regulations) to ensure safety and attention.
Requirements for group walks:
- Comfortble around other dogs
- Ability to travel in the car with other dogs
- Good recall on cue
- Ability to walk on a lead without pulling

Solo Walks, Pop-Ins & Other 1:1 Services
For dogs needing a little extra attention, I offer personalised one-on-one services. Solo walks are ideal for dogs who prefer quieter outings or have specific exercise needs. Pop-in visits provide care and companionship for home-alone dogs, puppies, senior dogs, or those recovering from an injury—making sure they’re fed, let out, or simply given some love while you’re away. I’m also happy to discuss tailored requests, such as short dog-sitting sessions in the evenings or weekends, and even wedding chaperoning to include your furry friend in your special day. Whatever your dog needs, they’ll be cared for as if they were my own.

A Typical Group Walk with Groovy Pups
“Hi, I’m Poppy!
I get to go on group walks with Amélie every week, and I absolutely love it! I’ll admit, I was a bit nervous at first, but Amélie visited me a few times to help me feel more confident. Now, I can’t wait to jump in the car, wagging my tail like crazy, to see my friends!
Each walk is a new adventure—sometimes we explore the woods, sometimes we splash by the stream (extra muddy paws, yay!). I get to sniff everything, play chase with my best pals, and hunt for treats Amélie cleverly hides for us. My favourite game? Striking a pose on rocks like the star I am! After an hour of fun, Amélie cleans our paws (ugh, the price of adventure!) before I snuggle up for a cozy nap on the way home.”
Training Services
I’m excited to now offer personalised 1:1 dog training, designed to help you and your dog build essential skills and strengthen the bond between you. Whether you’re welcoming a new puppy or working on foundational skills with an older dog, I’m here to support you every step of the way. Every dog is unique, so each session is tailored to suit their individual personality, needs, and learning style. Together, we’ll create a training plan that’s effective, enjoyable, and stress-free for both you and your furry friend.
Training Philosophy
I am committed to using force-free training techniques based on positive reinforcement, following the guidelines of the Institute of Modern Dog Training (IMDT). The methods I use are kind, fair, and reward-based, fostering a strong, trusting bond between you and your dog. My ultimate goal is to promote your dog’s well-being, confidence, and happiness while making training enjoyable for both of you.
The Process
- 15-Minute Telephone Chat: We’ll start with a free phone consultation to discuss your needs and see if I’m the right trainer for you.
- First Training Session: We’ll meet in person to discuss your dog’s development, core needs, and behaviours. Together, we’ll identify the training support required, work on practical skills, and create a personalised training plan. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions.
- Follow-Up Sessions: We’ll build on the progress you’ve made, refining skills and addressing new challenges as they arise.
Puppy Training (Under 6 Months)
Bringing home a new puppy can be overwhelming, but I’m here to help! My 1:1 training offers everything you’d learn in group classes, but tailored to your specific needs and delivered in the comfort of your own home. Topics we can cover:
- Daily Routines: Toilet training, getting through the night, and setting up a schedule.
- Life Skills: Recognising their name, focus, coming when called, polite greetings, walking on a lead, and settling down.
- Confidence Building: Helping your puppy feel comfortable with handling and exploring new environments.
- Managing Common Challenges: Puppy biting, appropriate socialisation, and integrating children and puppies safely.
You can start training sessions as soon as your puppy arrives—or even beforehand to prepare for their homecoming.
Life Skills for Older Dogs (6 Months and Up)
If your dog is older, we can work on essential life skills and tackle common challenges, including:
- Recall: Coming back when called, even with distractions.
- Loose Lead Walking: Making walks more enjoyable for both of you.
- Jumping Up: Preventing overly enthusiastic greetings.
- Creating Calmness: Settling in the evenings or when guests visit.
- Managing Overexcitement and Barking.
- Cafe/Pub Manners: Helping your dog stay calm and focused in social settings.
Every session is tailored to your dog’s temperament and specific needs, ensuring we make your walks, outings, and daily life more fun and manageable.
