*Please let me know if your dog has specific dietary requirements

How many dogs are walked in group walks?

Leeds City Council allows professional dog walkers to walk up to 6 dogs at a time, and my insurance covers the same. However, my groups are often slightly smaller

Will my dog be walked in a group or solo?

This depends entirely on your dog’s needs, temperament, skills, and physical abilities. Dogs joining group walks should be comfortable in a group setting, have good recall (if off-lead), be able to walk on a loose lead, and feel at ease travelling in a vehicle with other dogs. If group walks aren’t suitable, solo walks may be a better fit.

What happens in an emergency?

In the unlikely event of an emergency, I’ll assess the situation, administer first aid if needed, notify you, and take your dog to the nearest or preferred vet if necessary.

Are dogs walked off-lead?

Only if they have reliable recall. Otherwise, we’ll discuss suitable walking alternatives or training options.

What happens if my dog doesn’t get along with other dogs?

I carefully assess and match dogs for group walks to ensure compatibility. I also maintain calm, controlled walks to help dogs feel at ease. If your dog struggles in a group setting, we can explore solo walks (limited availability) or training sessions to address specific challenges.

Do you walk dogs in bad or hot weather?

I walk dogs in most weather conditions, unless the weather is extreme (e.g., storms or heatwaves), in which case walks may be modified or cancelled for safety.

How are dog transported?

My car is specially equipped for safely transporting dogs, with individual spaces to keep them secure and comfortable.

Do you provide updates of the walks?

Yes, I share updates, photos, and videos of your dog’s adventures to keep you informed.

How long are the walks?

Group walks are 1 hour (that is 1 hour walk, excluding pick up/drop off and travel). On rare occasions, walks may need to be shortened due to extreme weather.

Solo walks are 30min or 60min and will start from home.

What training methods do you use?

I follow force-free, positive reinforcement methods based on modern dog training principles. My goal is to make training effective, enjoyable, and stress-free for both you and your dog.

How long are the training sessions?

Sessions typically last 60 minutes but can be adjusted based on your dog’s needs.

Can you help with specific behaviour problems?

Yes, I can help with common training issues such as recall or lead-pulling and may recommend a specialist or veterinary behaviourist for more complex behavioural issues.

What age can I start training my puppy?

You can start training as soon as they come home to build good routines and a strong foundation of good behaviour.

Do you only work with puppies and young dogs?

No, I work with dogs of all ages! Older dogs can absolutely learn new skills and behaviours, and training can help them stay mentally stimulated and happy.

How many sessions will my dog need?

This depends on your dog’s individual needs, the goals you’d like to achieve and your progress between sessions.

Can training sessions take place in my home?

Yes, I offer training in your home, where your dog feels most comfortable. Depending on the skills we’re working on, sessions may also take place outdoors or in other relevant environments.

What if I’ve already tried training and it hasn’t worked?

Every dog is different, and I’ll work to find the best approach for your dog’s unique needs.

Can I train my dog on my own between sessions?

Absolutely! I’ll provide you with clear guidance and exercises to practice at home between sessions to reinforce what your dog has learned.
